The Gamer's Nest

Published buylist rates, English and Japanese Pokemon singles, and a free trade night with pizza — the Gamer's Nest plays its Longmont hand face-up.

Very few shops post what they'll pay you before you walk in. The Gamer's Nest does: Pokemon trade-ins at 60 to 80 percent of TCGplayer market, Magic at 50 to 75 percent, Riftbound at 50 to 80, with bulk rates down to the fraction of a cent per EX or V posted alongside. That transparency is the fastest way to understand this Longmont card shop — it would rather set expectations than negotiate them.

The singles counter runs both English and Japanese Pokemon, which is still uncommon on the northern Front Range, and the Magic inventory covers sealed and singles across formats. Riftbound arrived early here; the shop is a listed store on the official locator and runs Nexus Night weekly. Flesh and Blood, One Piece, Sorcery, Warhammer 40K, D&D, and board games round out the shelves.

The event calendar is the busiest in town and priced to be enterable. Magic Standard and Modern run $5, Legacy runs $10 with the full entry returned as store credit prize support, and Commander is free. Pokemon splits into a $5 Play Day tournament, a $5 Gym Leader Challenge that allows proxies, a Pokemon Cube, and a free Trade Night where the shop puts out pizza. Warhammer open play costs nothing and runs all day. The shop has hosted a Magic Regional Championship Qualifier and threw a Pokemon Worlds 2026 celebration with promos for the first fifty through the door.

The play space is bright and genuinely spacious, with natural light and real chairs rather than folding metal — a detail regulars bring up unprompted. Opened in 2025, it has already collected a 4.9 average across more than 150 reviews.

Hours are the widest in Longmont: 10AM to 10PM Monday through Friday, 10AM to 8PM Saturday, 10AM to 6PM Sunday. Restock announcements land on the shop's Discord before anywhere else.
