🃏 About This Event

TheSportsBase brings its two-day Sports Cards, TCG & Collectibles Show to Sports Basement Fountain Valley on August 29 and 30, 2026, with free admission and free parking across both days. The promoter runs a rotating circuit of these shows inside Sports Basement stores around Southern California, and the Fountain Valley building gives them one of the largest floors on the circuit — an enormous open retail space where dealers set up among the aisles and the room never feels compressed.

The show is built to be broad rather than specialized. Sports tables run modern and vintage across MLB, NBA, NFL and NHL, with the usual Southern California emphasis on Dodgers, Angels, Lakers, Clippers, Rams and Ducks material. Graded slabs are plentiful, mostly PSA and CGC with SGC and Beckett scattered through. On the gaming side, Pokemon vendors dominate — sealed English and Japanese product, singles binders, vintage WOTC-era cards and graded promos — with Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece and Lorcana all represented. Expect memorabilia, jerseys, Funko Pops and a few dealers moving vintage toys and comics as well.

Both days run 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. There is no ticketing structure at all: no general admission fee, no VIP tier, no early access window. Walk up, walk in. That makes it one of the easiest shows in Orange County to bring kids to, and TheSportsBase leans into the family angle — the surrounding store environment is bright, open and stroller friendly in a way that a rented ballroom never quite is.

Sports Basement Fountain Valley is at 10800 Kalama River Avenue, just off the 405 near the Talbert and Euclid corridor. The lot is large, free and rarely full. The building is single level with wide aisles, accessible restrooms and a cafe area. Fountain Valley and neighboring Westminster put some of Orange County's best Vietnamese food within a five-minute drive, and Little Saigon on Bolsa Avenue is close enough to make lunch part of the trip.

This show suits casual and mid-level collectors, families, and anyone who wants to build a set or fill a player run without paying convention prices. Serious high-end buyers will find graded material but this is not primarily a six-figure-slab room. Dealers here are approachable and most are open to trades and to buying collections outright, so bring anything you want to sell.

Tactically: go Saturday morning if you want the fullest inventory, or Sunday afternoon if price is the priority — the last two hours of a two-day show are where sellers get realistic. Carry cash. Bring a phone with a comp app open, but do not haggle purely off a screenshot, because condition drives price more than most newer collectors expect. Pack penny sleeves and toploaders for raw pickups, and bring a small folding cart if you plan to buy sealed product.
