TheSportsBase Sports Cards, TCG & Collectibles Show returns to the Sports Basement store in Fountain Valley on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Organized by longtime Orange County promoter Andy K, this free show takes over the community space inside one of the county's largest sporting goods stores and draws a loyal crowd of collectors from Santa Ana, Huntington Beach, Westminster and Costa Mesa.
The vendor mix is a true blend of sports and TCG. Sports card dealers carry MLB, NBA, NFL and NHL rookies, inserts, vintage and graded cards, with a strong showing of Dodgers, Angels, Lakers and Ducks material. On the TCG side, Pokemon is the biggest draw, followed by One Piece Card Game, Disney Lorcana and Magic: The Gathering, with sealed product and singles at every price point. Vendors also bring memorabilia, Funko Pops, comics and other collectibles.
Show hours are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, September 19. Admission is free and parking is free in the Sports Basement lot. Sports Basement Fountain Valley is at 10800 Kalama River Ave, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, just off Brookhurst Street and the 405 Freeway. The store has a large free parking lot, restrooms, and a cafe area, and it sits near plenty of restaurants along Brookhurst and Warner. From Santa Ana it is about fifteen minutes via Harbor or the 405.
This show is a good match for families, since the free entry and the store setting make it low-stress for kids; for casual sports collectors who want to browse local dealers without paying convention prices; and for Pokemon and One Piece collectors who like a compact show they can cover in an hour. Serious dealers will find fewer high-end cases than at the OC Card Show but better prices on mid-range inventory.
Tips: arrive at 10 AM for first pick, since the best vintage and graded cards go early. Bring cash, a want list and a trade binder; many of the TCG vendors here trade actively. Sleeves and toploaders help protect raw purchases on the way home. If you are bringing a collection to sell, message the promoter ahead of time so vendors who buy collections know to expect you. Make a morning of it: the store's own stock is worth a look, and there is a coffee shop nearby for a break. Regulars say the best finds are usually in the vintage binders rather than the display cases, so budget time to flip through.
