TheSportsBase Sports Cards, TCG & Collectibles Show closes out October with a Halloween weekend edition at Sports Basement Fountain Valley on Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1, 2026. It runs the same weekend as the OC Card Show at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, only a few miles away, so collectors can spend Saturday at the big paid show and Sunday at this free one, or bounce between the two.
Expect the promoter's usual balance of sports and trading card games. Sports dealers bring MLB, NBA, NFL and NHL singles, with World Series and early-season NBA cards drawing attention, plus vintage and graded slabs. TCG tables carry Pokemon from vintage to current sets, Japanese product and graded cards, along with One Piece, Disney Lorcana, Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh!. Halloween-themed Pokemon promos and spooky sealed bundles usually show up this weekend. Memorabilia, Funko Pops and comics fill out the room.
Hours are Saturday 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Sunday 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Admission is free and parking is free in the Sports Basement lot. Tables are booked only through promoter Andy K at (714) 425-7722; the promoter has warned repeatedly that no one else is authorized to sell tables, so ignore offers in comments or private messages.
Sports Basement Fountain Valley is at 10800 Kalama River Ave, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, near Brookhurst Street and the 405 Freeway. There is a large free lot, restrooms and a cafe corner inside, and Brookhurst has plenty of lunch options. From Santa Ana the drive is about fifteen minutes.
Who should attend: families, especially on Halloween Saturday when kids in costume are welcome; sports collectors who want a cheaper alternative to the OC Card Show; and Pokemon and One Piece collectors looking for seasonal promos. Sunday is the better day for serious buyers, since the OC Card Show crowd thins out and vendors here are ready to deal before packing up.
Tips: Saturday morning for selection, Sunday afternoon for prices. Bring cash, a want list, a trade binder, and sleeves and toploaders for raw cards. If you plan to do both shows, park once at the OC Fair & Event Center for the OC Card Show on Saturday and save this free show for Sunday morning. Sellers should contact the promoter early because Halloween weekend tables fill fast.
