Wonder Water Sports Cards Comics & Games has been on US Highway 19 since 1989 and holds the most complete sports inventory of any Clearwater shop we list. Phoenix Emporium Games and Collectibles at 2139 Drew built its reputation on play space rather than inventory volume — seating comfortable enough for a six-hour session, refreshments, and a tournament schedule across Magic, Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh that gives players a reason to turn up midweek. Owners Spencer and Shane run the counter themselves. Open into the evening every day of the week, latest on Friday and Saturday. One caveat from reviews: bulk bin pricing can be inconsistent, so check a comp on anything you would mind overpaying for.
Crock's Sports Emporium at 2014 Drew is owner Adam's vintage sports operation — and the thing to know is that the best material is not on the display floor. High-end cards are kept back; you have to ask. Adam is named in review after review for pricing that lands fairly whether you are buying or selling, which in the vintage sports market is not a small thing.
Crock's opens only four days, Wednesday through Saturday. Call before driving over.
Phantom Card Vault at 2075 Range Road holds the highest rating in the city and keeps the most generous hours of any Clearwater shop we list, running into the evening seven days a week and later still on Friday and Saturday.
That matters more than it sounds. Most card shops close at six or seven, which makes them inaccessible to anyone working a standard shift. A shop open until nine every night is a shop you can actually get to.
The inventory is organised around slabs and singles — PSA, CGC and Beckett-graded cards under glass, with raw singles reaching back through every Pokémon generation. Sealed covers modern and older sets, and the shelves have expanded into Magic, One Piece, Lorcana and Weiss Schwarz. Supplies are stocked properly rather than as an afterthought rack.
The detail that recurs across reviews: staff will actively help track down a card they do not have in stock. Range Road sits a few minutes from both US 19 and Gulf to Bay, so it combines easily with a Drew Street run.
