2026 Topps Chrome VeeFriends: Boxes, Parallels and What to Chase
The 200-card 2026 set explained: box contents, the full refractor ladder with hobby odds, the new Black Cat /7, autographs, and how Sapphire differs.
2026 Topps Chrome VeeFriends released on June 10, 2026 and doubled the character count of the first Chrome set: 200 characters, 149 of them appearing on Chrome for the first time and 51 returning favourites, across 13 insert sets. It collects like any Topps Chrome product — base, refractors, numbered parallels and autographs — so if you know Chrome from sports cards, you already know how to read it.

Hobby boxes also carry exclusive Wave parallels: Orange Wave /25, Black Wave /10 and Red Wave /5. To put the odds in box terms: at 18 packs a box, a Gold /50 lands roughly once every 7 hobby boxes, and a Superfractor about once in every 338.

Autographs and inserts
The autograph headline is Content Condors Autographs, at 1:1,403 hobby packs (with numbered parallel versions on top). Inserts include Chalkboard, Neon Lights and Content Condors Creators, among the 13 insert sets — 9 of them new designs for 2026. What collectors chase
- The low-numbered refractors — Black /10, the new Black Cat /7, Red /5 and the Superfractor 1/1. The Black Cat is the 2026 signature parallel.
- Character runs — many collectors build one favourite character across every color rather than chasing the whole set.

Sapphire Edition: the premium version
The 2026 Topps Chrome VeeFriends Sapphire Edition launched on July 8, 2026. It uses Sapphire Chrome stock with substantially smaller print runs, two Sapphire-exclusive insert sets and ultra-low-numbered Sapphire base parallels.
- How it sold: a one-hour Topps EQL presale on July 8 (11am–12pm ET) at $449.99, limited to one box per customer, then select local card shops from July 9.
- Who it is for: collectors who want the scarcest version of the set. If you are new to VeeFriends, start with standard hobby.

How it compares to the 2025 set
The 2025 Topps Chrome VeeFriends set, released May 7, 2025, was the first VeeFriends set on Chrome stock and featured 100 characters. 2026 doubles that to 200 and adds the Black Cat parallel and nine new insert designs.
