The Great Escape has been serving the pop culture needs of Louisville since 1978, making it one of the longest-running hobby and entertainment shops in the entire region. Nestled on iconic Bardstown Rd in the Highlands, the store is a treasure trove that spans comics, vinyl records, CDs, DVDs, video games, trading cards, role-playing games, toys, posters, books, and memorabilia. The back issue comic selection is enormous, and the new comic reserve service keeps subscribers up to date with Wednesday releases. Trading cards include Magic: The Gathering and other CCGs, with bargain bins starting at just 2¢ per card. The store operates on a buy-sell-trade model, offering 25% more in trade credit than cash.
