Downtown Detroit's only dedicated sports-card shop, with a glass-walled Card Breaking Studio for live rips and a deep Topps, Panini, and Pokemon wall.
3 Kings Sports Cards opened its 2,200-square-foot Griswold Street location in October 2025 as the Canton-based shop's second store and the first dedicated sports card destination physically inside Detroit city limits. The space sits on the Bedrock-owned downtown corridor a block from Campus Martius and was built around live content — there's a glass-walled Card Breaking Studio at the back where Topps, Panini, Upper Deck, Leaf, and Fanatics breaks run on a regular schedule.
Inventory is heavy on modern sports cards Detroit collectors actually chase: Lions, Tigers, Pistons, and Red Wings rookies in the showcase cases, with broader MLB, NFL, and NBA hobby boxes filling the wall. Pokemon sealed product has expanded since the downtown opening, and a singles binder runs across the counter for both sports and Pokemon. The slab case is one of the strongest in the metro Detroit area.
What sets the downtown shop apart from the Canton flagship is the events programming — 3K Trade Nights and 3K Game Day Tailgates pull in Detroit sports fans who treat the shop as a clubhouse on game days. The Breaking Studio livestreams give remote buyers a window in, but walk-in customers get first crack at hits pulled in-store.
For a Detroit card shop focused on sports cards with a real downtown footprint, this is the destination. Lions home games turn it into a scene; weekdays are calmer if you want time to dig.
