NHL Hockey Card Shops

Hockey is the smallest of the four major-sport card markets in most US shops, but the collectors who buy hockey are some of the most loyal. The shops listed here stock Upper Deck Series 1 and 2, the SP and SPx high-end lines, O-Pee-Chee retro, and the Young Guns rookie singles that drive most modern hockey collecting.

Hockey shops cluster in the markets you'd expect — the Northeast, Michigan, Minnesota, and pockets of the West Coast with strong NHL franchises. In smaller markets, hockey often shares shelf space with the other major sports rather than getting a dedicated section. When that's the case, ask if the shop has a "hockey guy" who manages inventory — there usually is one.
