Hattiesburg's newest TCG room, open until midnight on weekends, with purchase limits on Pokemon restocks and an active trade-night crowd.
One Up TCG opened on Old Highway 11 in 2024 and quickly became the shop Hattiesburg players name when someone asks where to actually play. The room is built for it — open gaming space, a rewards program that pays back regulars, and a schedule that runs later than anything else in the city.
Pokemon drives most of the traffic, with Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Digimon all stocked in singles and sealed. What sets the shop apart on release weeks is discipline about restocks: product goes out with purchase limits so a single buyer cannot clear the shelf. A collector who moved down from Florida described it as the only place within a few hours that is consistently fair about new drops, and that is the reputation the shop has built locally.
Community is the other half of the pitch. Trade nights pull players and collectors from multiple TCG circles into the same room, and regulars describe sticking around on days the shop has no product simply because the culture is not transactional. Not every review is glowing — one visitor found inventory thin and the interaction abrasive — so a call ahead is worth it if you are driving in for something specific.
The hours are the real differentiator. Monday through Thursday and Sunday run 2PM to 10PM, Friday extends to midnight, and Saturday opens at noon and also runs to midnight. If you want a long Saturday session, this is the only Hattiesburg card shop that will let it run past ten.
The Old Highway 11 location has its own parking and sits west of the city center near the Turtle Creek corridor. The shop also sells through TCGplayer, so if you cannot make the drive, current singles inventory is visible online before you go.
