The Card Yard

The Card Yard is a newer Lincoln shop built around Pokemon singles, sealed product near MSRP, trade-ins for store credit and regular trade nights.

Opened as one of Lincoln's newer card stores, The Card Yard has quickly become a regular stop for Pokemon collectors on the northeast side of town. The shop sits at 4600 W Street and keeps a clean, well-stocked counter, with binders and cases of singles alongside shelves of sealed product.

Pokemon is the center of gravity here. Expect a deep run of singles, from playable trainers and staples to chase illustration rares, plus booster packs, bundles and boxes. The shop tries to keep sealed prices close to MSRP, which is not a given in today's market and makes it a practical place to pick up Pokemon cards in Lincoln without paying flipper prices. If you are hunting a specific card, ask; staff are used to sourcing singles and will check what they have in the back.

Trading is a big part of the culture. The Card Yard hosts trade nights where collectors bring binders and swap face-to-face, and the counter will take cards in for store credit if you would rather turn duplicates into something new. Prices on trades are negotiable within reason, so come with an idea of current market values. Families with younger collectors are common, and staff are patient with first-time questions about sets and rarities.

Hours are generous for a Lincoln card shop: 11AM-8PM Sunday through Thursday, and 11AM-10PM on Friday and Saturday. Those late weekend hours make Friday and Saturday evenings the busiest and most social time to visit; weekday afternoons are quieter if you want to browse slowly. The shop also runs an online storefront on TCGplayer Pro, which is handy for checking stock before you head over.

Look for the shop in the same W Street building as a video game store, which makes it an easy two-stop trip for anyone who collects both. Bring a binder if you plan to trade, and check the shop's social pages for the next trade night date.
