The Relentless Dragon

3,500 square feet on Amherst Street with 35,000+ Magic and Pokemon singles, four permanent wargaming tables, and a play space that seats forty.

Scale is what separates The Relentless Dragon from most of what New Hampshire has. The Amherst Street building runs about 3,500 square feet, and a serious chunk of it is play space rather than retail: seating for forty-plus players, plus four permanent wargaming tables with terrain already set up. The retail half backs that with more than 35,000 Magic and Pokemon singles searchable on two in-store inventory computers.

Magic: The Gathering is the house game, but the Pokemon side has real depth. There is a dedicated case for Pokemon singles with vintage pieces and a working assortment of slabs, plus bulk boxes toward the back for people who would rather dig than browse a screen. One Piece, Gundam, Dragon Ball Super, and Riftbound round out the TCG wall, and the store carries D&D, Warhammer 40k, Age of Sigmar, board games, dice, and supplies alongside.

The event calendar is the busiest in the city. Friday runs Casual Commander at 6:30pm and draft at 6:45pm, with the store open until 11pm to accommodate it. Saturday brings Gundam tournaments at noon and 1pm, Sunday has a One Piece tournament at noon and Magic Standard Showdown at 1pm, and Tuesday is Modern plus D&D. A weekly Pokemon League and full prerelease coverage fill in the rest.

The shop buys collections and is upfront about how its buying program works, which reviewers appreciate even when the number is lower than they hoped. If you are selling, expect a straightforward conversation rather than a haggle. The three shop cats show up in reviews almost as often as the inventory does.

Binder searches are still a thing here, which is increasingly rare, and the play space can be rented for private events. Open every day, with 10am starts across the board, so a weekday morning visit gets you the quiet version of a Nashua card shop that is otherwise packed most evenings.
