Grove Warden Games sits on the corner of Brookwood and Main with free parking right out front, which is the first small kindness of a shop full of them. It's the newest serious gaming storefront in Hillsboro, and the owner has leaned into that — stocking to what regulars actually ask for rather than to a distributor's default order.

Magic: The Gathering is the anchor. Singles run below TCG average often enough that players from Beaverton and Forest Grove make the drive, and the binders are deep enough to build a Commander deck in one sitting rather than three visits. Commander nights land on Monday and Friday and stay casual by design; the tables are open the rest of the week for anyone who wants to sit down with a pod. Pokemon sealed and singles occupy the other case, and Warhammer, D&D books, dice, and board games fill the shelves behind.
