Three lifelong collectors run this 2,600 sq ft Lancaster shop — vintage and modern sports singles up front, Pokemon and Magic along the wall, open seven days.

Three friends of roughly forty years — Chris Dreisbach, Matthew DiSipio and Adam Aloisi — opened Red Rose in September 2021 and filled 2,600 square feet of the Woods Edge Plaza with the kind of inventory they had spent their own childhoods hunting. The grand opening set the tone: Eagles running back Boston Scott and former Eagles quarterback Michael Vick both came out to sign.

Sports cards are the backbone. Vintage and modern singles across baseball, football, basketball and hockey fill the browsing boxes, with graded slabs in the showcases and a steady rotation of sealed hobby boxes, blasters and loose packs. Repack products and graded-card boxes give walk-ins something to rip without committing to a full case. Pokemon and Magic: The Gathering occupy their own section, which makes this one of the few Lancaster card shop options where a family can shop two different hobbies in one trip.

The shop's reputation locally is built on how it treats kids. Review after review describes staff throwing in free extras for young collectors, and one regular put it plainly: the crew goes above and beyond every visit. That is not incidental — the ownership group is deeply rooted in the county, with Aloisi a former Hempfield School District board member and Dreisbach running a regional addiction recovery organization.

Beyond over-the-counter sales, Red Rose takes consignment, evaluates full collections, and will walk you through whether a card is worth submitting for grading before you spend the money. Bring a shoebox and expect an honest conversation rather than a lowball.

Hours are the most generous of any dedicated card shop in Lancaster: open every day of the week, Monday noon to 5PM, Tuesday through Friday noon to 8PM, Saturday 11AM to 8PM and Sunday 11AM to 6PM. Weekday evenings after 6 are the quietest window if you want the counter to yourself; Saturday afternoons draw a crowd. The plaza sits just off Columbia Avenue with plenty of parking directly out front.
