Sealed products for Hidden Fates
Elite Trainer Box
The Hidden Fates ETB includes ten booster packs, a full-art Moltres & Zapdos & Articuno-GX promo, 65 sleeves, dice, markers, energy cards and a storage box, at $49.99 retail. It was reprinted several times, and sealed ETBs now sell for $450-$580 with most sales around $475-$540. At ten packs it is the best pack-per-dollar product in the lineup and the one most people open when they decide to chase the Shiny Vault.
Tins
Three tins released with the set, featuring Charizard-GX, Gyarados-GX and Raichu-GX. Each contains four booster packs, a foil GX promo and a code card at $24.99. The Charizard-GX tin sells for $140-$180 sealed, with Gyarados and Raichu at $95-$135. Tins were the most widely reprinted Hidden Fates product and turn up at every card show.
Pin Collections
The Mewtwo Pin Collection and Mew Pin Collection each hold three packs, a foil promo and a pin, originally $19.99. Sealed they sell for $110-$150, with Mewtwo slightly ahead. These are small, easy to authenticate and the usual starter purchase.
Premium Powers Collection
The Premium Powers Collection packages three foil GX promos, an oversized card and seven booster packs, originally $39.99. Sealed boxes trade at $330-$420 in 2026, a good middle option between a tin and an ETB.
Poke Ball, Great Ball and Ultra Ball Collections
The Poke Ball Collection (a Poke Ball-shaped tin with three packs and a promo) was followed by the Great Ball Collection with a shiny Zoroark-GX promo and the Ultra Ball Collection with a shiny Metagross-GX promo, each with three packs. Sealed prices run $90-$130 for the Poke Ball and $110-$160 for the Great Ball and Ultra Ball versions. These were among the last Hidden Fates products printed and are still relatively easy to find.
Ultra-Premium Collection
The Ultra-Premium Collection is the flagship: a shiny Charizard-GX promo, a Gyarados-GX promo, an oversized shiny Charizard-GX, a playmat, a coin, dice, sleeves and 15 booster packs at $99.99 MSRP. Sealed examples sold for $750-$1,300 across 2025-2026, with most recent sales in the $950-$1,250 range. This is the product to hold if you want one large Hidden Fates display piece.
Chase cards and pull rates
Shiny Charizard-GX (SV49/SV94) is the card everyone opens for, trading at $550-$750 raw and $1,300-$1,600 in PSA 10. Shiny Umbreon-GX (SV69) is the clear number two at $250-$350, followed by Shiny Sylveon-GX (SV76) at $150-$200, Cynthia full art (SV82) at $150-$200, Shiny Mewtwo-GX (SV59) at $110-$150, Shiny Espeon-GX (SV60) around $100 and Shiny Greninja-GX (SV56) around $70-$100. From the main set, the full-art and rainbow Moltres & Zapdos & Articuno-GX and the regular Charizard-GX (9/68) are the notable pulls.
Each pack contains ten cards, and community-reported rates put a Shiny Vault card at roughly one per three to four packs, with shiny GX cards at roughly one per 20-25 packs. An ETB therefore usually delivers two or three Shiny Vault baby shinies and has a modest chance at a shiny GX; the shiny Charizard specifically remains a long shot in any single product.
Is Hidden Fates worth buying sealed?
Hidden Fates is the reprinted exception among Sun & Moon special sets, and that shapes the investment case. The extra print runs in 2020 and 2021 mean supply is far larger than Shining Legends or Dragon Majesty, and prices reflect that: a Hidden Fates ETB costs less than half of either. The upside is that the set is universally known, the shiny Charizard keeps demand high, and no further reprints are possible now that the era is over. Prices have climbed steadily since 2023. For pack value, the ETB and Ultra-Premium Collection are the best buys; for a low-ticket sealed hold, tins and Pin Collections are fine, just do not expect them to behave like the scarcer special sets.
How to spot fakes and resealed products
The reprint waves complicate authentication because there are legitimate minor variations in packaging between 2019 and 2021 print runs, including different pack code-card text and slight box color differences. What does not vary is the factory shrink: tight, clear, one seam, small vent holes. ETBs with loose or doubled wrap have been redone. Tins should have their original shrink with no tape; opened tins are trivial to reclose, so a tin without shrink should be treated as opened. Pin Collections and Ball Collections used windowed boxes, so check that the promo card behind the window is centered and unplayed. Every genuine Hidden Fates pack has a code card, and the packs use the distinct silver-and-blue Shiny Vault wrapper art. Hidden Fates has also seen counterfeit ETB sleeves and dice sold separately, so a complete-looking "open box, sealed packs" listing is not the same as a sealed product.
