Legends & Loot

Joe and Cheyenne Leon's New Braunfels shop keeps table space open to 11PM on weekends for TCG, RPG nights and miniatures painting.

Husband-and-wife owners Joe and Cheyenne Leon opened Legends & Loot on South Elliot Knox Boulevard — the stretch New Braunfels locals still call Business I-35 — in June 2025, and the store was built around a specific idea rather than an inventory list. "I just want people to be themselves and hang out and enjoy the hobbies they like," Joe told the local paper around the opening. The floor plan follows from that: retail up front, tables in back, and a schedule that runs later than anything else in town.

Stock spans trading card games, Warhammer and miniatures, hobby paints, TCG supplies, anime figures and Japanese-inspired wall art. It is a Wizards-listed location, so Magic product and organized play sit at the core, with Pokemon and other card games alongside. The Dungeons & Dragons and RPG side is real too — lessons and events are part of the offering, not an afterthought, which makes this the New Braunfels shop most likely to help someone start a game rather than just sell them cards.

Hours are the standout. Sunday runs 12PM to 8PM, Monday through Thursday 1PM to 10PM, and Friday and Saturday stay open 1PM to 11PM. Nothing else in the New Braunfels card shop scene keeps a table available that late. The trade-off is a 1PM open on weekdays, so this is an evening destination rather than a lunch-hour stop.

The space is compact — customers note it is smaller than the big regional stores — but reviewers who have been in during a tournament report it holding a full field without feeling cramped, with enough product and enough people on hand to actually get a game going. That combination of small room and active play schedule is the whole personality of the place.

With roughly a dozen reviews on record so far and a 94% recommend rate, this is still an early-days rating on a shop barely a year old. For anyone in New Braunfels looking for late-evening table space, a first D&D session, or Warhammer paints without a drive to San Antonio, Legends & Loot is the answer at 830-500-8919.
