WPN Premium Magic store on North Central Expressway in Plano, running late nightly hours, prereleases and a monthly subscription crate program.
Magic: The Gathering is the spine of Mystery Cards and Games, and the shop wears it openly. The storefront grew out of Mystery MTG, a mail-order singles operation that shipped nationally and internationally before it had a play space, and that inventory discipline carries over. The singles are organized, priced against the market, and actually findable.
The Plano location runs roughly 2,000 square feet with dedicated play tables, and it holds WPN Premium status from Wizards of the Coast alongside an Asmodee Platinum retailer designation. Practically, that means prereleases land here first, event support is real, and the store shows up on the official locator as store number 14550. Beyond Magic, the shelves cover Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Disney Lorcana, Flesh and Blood, Riftbound, board games and RPG lines.
The subscription crate program is the shop's signature. Customers pick a tier and receive a monthly package built from store inventory, and it has developed a following. One subscriber wrote that they use the shop's subscription service for Magic cards and called it great value with great pulls and friendly people. Mail order continues to run alongside the storefront for anyone outside Plano.
Hours are late and consistent: 1PM to 10PM Tuesday through Sunday, with Monday closed. Those 10PM closes make it one of the few places in Collin County where a weeknight draft can finish without anyone rushing. Note that the shop's own website has at times listed Monday availability for phone and customer service, so if Monday is your only option, call ahead.
The 4.4 rating across roughly 193 Google reviews is solid, with the strongest praise going to selection, organization and pricing. A handful of reviews describe brusque service on specific evenings. On balance this is the Plano card shop to beat if Magic singles and organized play are what you are after.
