Padded play tables, a wargaming hall and an in-house pub set Wichita Falls' Sikes Senter game lounge apart, with Yu-Gi-Oh Thursdays and Pokemon league nights.
Nexus Game Lounge took a large suite inside Sikes Senter and built something closer to a venue than a store. Neoprene-topped tables run down the card-play area, private rooms sit off to one side for roleplaying groups, and a dedicated wargaming section handles Warhammer 40K and Battletech armies that need real table space. The NX Pub & Grill occupies the back — a full bar and kitchen that local news covered when it opened, and a genuinely unusual amenity for a mall-based TCG shop.
The organized play calendar is the most published in the city. Pokemon runs on Wednesday evenings at 6PM on a rotating format: league play the first Wednesday, Gym Leader Challenge the second, competitive tournaments the third. Yu-Gi-Oh! splits into Edison format on Thursdays at 6:30PM and Advanced format Saturdays at 2PM, with monthly box tournaments at a twenty-dollar entry. Magic, Lorcana, Flesh and Blood, Dragon Ball Super and One Piece all have a shelf and a following.
Hours run long. Doors open at noon every day and stay open to 10PM midweek, midnight on Friday and Saturday, and 10PM on Sunday. Monday is the short day, closing at 7PM. If you want a table on a tournament night, arriving before the posted start is worth the effort — the room fills.
Stock covers sealed and singles across the major games plus RPG rulebooks, miniatures and paints. Pricing is the one place opinion divides: some regulars find the sealed shelf runs above MSRP on hot sets, while others come specifically for the selection breadth that no other Wichita Falls card shop matches. Judge the case yourself and ask about anything you would rather order.
Practical notes: mall parking is abundant, the entrance is accessible, and snacks and drinks are available on site — useful given the mall's limited food options. The shop also handles 3D printing and rents private rooms for parties.
