Family-run Kennewick card shop built around Pokemon: deep singles binders, English and foreign-language boosters, high-end chase cards and in-store parties.
Pokemon collectors in the Tri-Cities tend to end up at The Collectors Corner sooner or later. The family-owned shop on West Kennewick Avenue focuses heavily on the Pokemon TCG, with an inventory that suits both players building decks and completionists chasing a master set.
The singles selection is the main event. Organized binders and cases cover a wide range of sets, and the display cases hold a run of premium chase cards that are fun to look at even if you aren't buying. Sealed boosters come in English as well as foreign-language versions, and the Japanese and other import packs are often priced below their English counterparts, which makes them a good way to open more packs for the money. Other trading card games are stocked as well, though Pokemon gets most of the shelf space.
Trading is part of the culture here. You can bring a binder in and use cards toward a purchase, and the owners will make an offer on singles and collections. The shop also hosts kids' birthday parties, running the games and activities so parents can sit back, which is unusual for a card shop and has made it a popular choice for local families.
Hours are 11AM-6PM Monday through Saturday and noon to 4PM on Sunday, so plan Sunday visits early. Weekday afternoons are the calmest time to go through binders at your own pace, while Saturdays are busier with traders. If you're searching for Pokemon cards in Kennewick, especially Japanese product or older singles, this is one of the first stops worth making. Bring a want list and a binder of trade bait, and expect the staff to know their market.
