Beyond Adventure Games

Beyond Adventure Games is Palmer's locally owned card and game shop, specializing in Magic: The Gathering singles, sealed product, and tabletop gaming. Located near the Eagle Hotel on Colony Way with an online store for MTG singles.

Beyond Adventure Games occupies a cozy retail space on South Colony Way in Palmer, Alaska, serving the card and gaming needs of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough community. As a locally owned and operated shop, Beyond Adventure puts community above everything else — the store has become a gathering place for Palmer and Mat-Su residents who share a passion for trading card games and tabletop gaming.

Magic: The Gathering is the store's primary focus, and the depth of the singles inventory reflects that commitment. Beyond Adventure maintains a robust online store at beyondadventure907.com built on the Shopify platform, allowing customers to browse and purchase MTG singles from the comfort of their homes and arrange for in-store pickup. The store carries cards across all formats — Standard, Pioneer, Modern, Legacy, and Commander — and regularly updates its stock with new releases and popular singles.

Pokémon and other trading card games are also stocked, with sealed product available for the latest sets. The store welcomes players of all experience levels and runs events during its afternoon and evening hours, creating a welcoming gaming environment in the heart of Palmer.

Beyond Adventure's hours are focused on evenings and weekends (Thursday through Sunday, opening at 2 PM), which caters to the after-school and after-work crowd. This schedule reflects the store's understanding of its community's rhythms and allows the owner to maintain personal service quality without spreading too thin.

The shop is located next to the Eagle Hotel on Colony Way, making it easy to find for visitors to Palmer. The downtown Palmer area, known for its agricultural heritage and the annual Alaska State Fair, provides an interesting backdrop for this hobby destination.

Beyond Adventure exemplifies the spirit of the Alaska small business — resilient, community-focused, and passionate about the products it sells. For collectors in the Palmer/Wasilla corridor looking for a dedicated MTG experience, it's a worthwhile destination.
