Geekery Games is Flagstaff's Magic: The Gathering headquarters near NAU, with Pokemon on Saturdays, Flesh and Blood on Wednesdays, and a deep singles buylist.

In the Green Tree Mini Mall across from Target on South Milton Road, Geekery Games has been the go-to Flagstaff card shop for most of a decade. Owner Stephen bought the business around 2016 and runs it as a family operation, with his brother Jay handling online orders and a small crew on the floor. Google lists it as a trading card store, and that focus shows: the play space is large, the tables are clean, and there's almost always a game going.

Magic: The Gathering is the center of gravity. Geekery is a Wizards Play Network store, and the calendar runs deep: Free Play Commander all day Thursday, prerelease and launch weekends for every set, and a walk-in buylist that prices MTG singles against TCGplayer Market with a bump for store credit. Flesh and Blood Armory fires Wednesdays from 6PM to 9:30PM. Pokemon gets Saturday afternoons from 1PM to 4PM, and One Piece takes Sunday from 1PM to 3:30PM. Warhammer 40K, Age of Sigmar, and Middle-earth SBG hold down the miniatures side, and accessories from Dragon Shield, Ultimate Guard, and Gamegenic line the front.

The shop launched a full online store in early 2025 and sells through TCGplayer Direct, so Flagstaff players can browse singles at home and pick up in store. A few recent reviews grumble about wait times at the singles pickup kiosk on busy nights, so if you need a specific card before an event, order ahead.

Note the schedule: Geekery is closed Monday and Tuesday, open noon to 10PM Wednesday through Friday, and noon to 6PM on weekends. Its location a short walk from Northern Arizona University keeps the community young and the Commander pods full during the semester.
