Pull N Play Tabletop Games

A newer south Sacramento game store on Bruceville Rd where MTG Commander learners, draft regulars and Pokemon collectors share bright, open play tables.

Pull N Play Tabletop Games is one of the newer stores in south Sacramento, in a shopping center on Bruceville Road. The room is bright and open, with much of the floor given to tables, and on most evenings a few games are already underway when you arrive.

Magic: The Gathering drives most of the calendar. The store holds draft nights and release events, and it runs Commander learning sessions where staff sit down and play through the basics with returning or brand-new players. That makes it a comfortable place for someone getting back into Magic after years away. The singles library can be browsed on an in-store tablet, so you can check stock quickly without flipping through binders.

The shop also deals in Pokemon. Staff will look over cards you bring in and explain condition and value, which is helpful for parents or newer collectors trying to figure out what they own. Organized TCG tournaments run on a regular schedule and are known for staying on time.

The store's newness works in its favor. The community is still forming, staff learn regulars' names quickly, and newcomers are easily folded into games without feeling like they've walked into a closed group. Families with younger players will find the atmosphere relaxed and the conversation friendly. If you're stepping back into Magic after a long break, ask about the next learn-to-play session before buying a deck.

If you're looking for a card shop in south Sacramento where you can buy a pack and also find a game that night, this is a good option. Product prices are competitive, and staff are glad to recommend a Commander precon without pushing the most expensive one on the shelf. Hours are noon to 9PM Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 5PM on Sunday. The store is closed Monday. Weeknight evenings are best for pickup games, and weekends tend to fill up around events.
