Cross the railroad tracks from Wilcox onto Front Street and you hit Hidden Gemz, a compact shop that bills itself as Castle Rock's retro game and TCG store. The two halves share one room: refurbished NES, SNES, Genesis, and PlayStation consoles and cartridges on one side, and trading cards on the other, with Beyblades, plushies, and dice filling the gaps. Private parking out front is a rare perk downtown.

Pokemon drives the card side. The shop claims the largest sealed Pokemon selection in town, and the shelves back it up with current elite trainer boxes, booster bundles, tins, and collection boxes, plus a singles operation that runs through a TCGplayer Pro storefront. Staff use a digital lookup system in store to find specific singles, which one reviewer called the highlight of finishing a set. Hidden Gemz is also a registered Play! Pokemon League, so there is organized league play for anyone who wants to use what they buy.

Magic: The Gathering booster boxes, bundles, and preconstructed decks get solid shelf space, and the shop was early on Disney Lorcana, Star Wars Unlimited, Riftbound, Dragon Ball, Final Fantasy, and Union Arena. Accessories cover sleeves, binders, deck boxes, and playmats. A Discord server ties the community together between visits, and there is free shipping on online orders over $150 for out-of-town collectors.

Hours skew later in the week: noon to 6 most weekdays, noon to 8 Tuesday, noon to 9 Friday, then 10 to 7 Saturday and 10 to 5 Sunday. The shop's own website lists Monday inconsistently, so call 720-819-5228 before a Monday trip. Friday evenings are the best window for finding other players at the tables.

Reviewers describe a low-key, welcoming vibe rather than a hard-sell one; a couple of three-star notes mention singles priced above online market and a quiet staff. For Pokemon cards Castle Rock collectors can actually browse in person, though, this is the deepest sealed stock in town, and the retro game wall makes it a stop the whole family will tolerate.
