The only sports-card-only shop between Denver and Salt Lake: vintage, modern wax, graded singles, and buy-sell-trade at its new N 6th St location in downtown Grand Junction.
Western Colorado Fieldhouse moved to 130 North 6th Street in the summer of 2026, a few blocks from its old Rood Avenue storefront, and the new downtown Grand Junction space is where the family-run business now does what it has done for years: sports cards, and only sports cards. The owners describe it as the sole shop between Denver and Salt Lake City that specializes in sports rather than mixing in Pokemon and Magic, and for baseball, football, basketball, and hockey collectors on the Western Slope that focus is the draw.
Inventory runs from modern wax and hobby boxes through raw singles, a case of graded cards, and a vintage section that reflects a family collecting history going back to 1987. Sports memorabilia, equipment, supplies, and grading guides fill the rest of the shelves, and the shop will special-order product it does not have on hand. Buying, selling, and trading is explicit, and recent reviewers confirm the counter purchased cards from their personal collections.
The shop is staffed partly by high-school and college students, which gives it a mentoring feel (the stated goal is to introduce kids to collecting) but occasionally causes an unplanned early close around class schedules. The owners are candid about that and offer appointments by call or text at 970-433-3893 for any time outside posted hours. Following the move, a 25 percent storewide discount ran through late summer 2026.
Posted hours are Wednesday through Saturday, 11 AM to 7 PM, with Monday and Tuesday by appointment. The owner's own August 2026 update lists Sunday as open 11 to 7 while Google shows Sunday closed, so confirm before a Sunday visit. Note that most directories and the shop's website still show the old Rood Avenue address; use 6th Street.
If you want sports cards Grand Junction style with vintage depth and no TCG distraction, this small Grand Junction card shop is the specialist.
