Tower of Games is the Florida outpost of a Virginia game-store chain, and it fills a gap none of the sports card shops in Boca Raton cover: a place to sit down and play. The store on NE Spanish River Boulevard, just east of I-95, is a Wizards of the Coast Premium store, a registered Disney Lorcana Play Network venue, a Riftbound Gaming Network location, and a Flesh and Blood locator shop, which in practical terms means sanctioned events nearly every day of the week.

The schedule is the product. Open play for Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon, Lorcana, and One Piece runs daily, a Commander League takes over Saturday nights, and Warhammer 40K, Middle-earth, Gundam, and Star Wars Unlimited tournaments rotate through, alongside board game nights and D&D Adventurers League. The chain claims more than 300 weekly players across its stores, and the Boca floor gets busy after dinner. First-time event attendees get a free booster pack, and trade-ins earn bonus store credit, a nudge toward converting your binder into deck pieces.

Retail covers the games it hosts. Magic singles are sold online and in store, sealed Pokemon and Lorcana product gets preorder pushes on the shop's Facebook page ahead of each set, and the shelves carry sleeves, playmats, dice, miniatures, paints, and secondhand games. Reviewers single out a staffer named Peter for walking new painters through paint choices and event sign-ups; one night-shift employee drew a complaint for seeming more interested in his own table game, so the experience can vary by hour.

Hours are the longest of any Boca Raton card shop: 11AM to 10PM Monday through Thursday, 11AM to 11PM Friday and Saturday, and 11AM to 8PM Sunday. Parking is in the plaza lot.
