Good Game is Waterloo's family-owned trading card game and collectibles hub, located in the heart of downtown. With a comprehensive inventory spanning Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Disney Lorcana, Digimon, and Dragon Ball Super, plus an active events calendar and extended hours, Good Game is northeastern Iowa's premier TCG destination.

Good Game has established itself as the beating heart of Waterloo's trading card game community. Located at 307 W 5th Street in downtown Waterloo, this family-owned and operated shop brings a vibrant, inclusive energy to the northeast Iowa hobby scene, welcoming players and collectors of all experience levels.

The trading card game selection at Good Game is remarkable in its breadth. Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Disney Lorcana, Digimon, and Dragon Ball Super all have dedicated sections, ensuring that players of the most popular TCGs can find everything they need under one roof. Booster boxes, sealed specialty bundles, singles, and accessory items like Dragon Shield sleeves, binders, and deck vaults are all stocked, making Good Game a true one-stop shop for competitive and casual players alike.

Singles and graded cards represent another major pillar of the business. Collectors hunting specific cards for their collections or investments will find a well-maintained singles display with cards priced fairly based on current market values. The graded card section appeals to condition-sensitive collectors who want the assurance of professional authentication.

The events program is central to Good Game's identity as a community hub. Regular tournaments, prereleases, and league nights create a consistent schedule of in-store activity that brings players together from Waterloo, Waverly, and surrounding communities. The Battle Bar — a dedicated gaming area within the shop — provides the perfect setting for organized play and casual gaming sessions.

Beyond trading cards, Good Game carries Games Workshop titles like Warhammer 40K and Age of Sigmar, as well as Gundam model kits for hobby modelers — a reflection of the shop's broad commitment to tabletop gaming culture in all its forms.

With extended hours running Monday and Sunday 10 AM to 8 PM and Tuesday through Saturday 10 AM to 9 PM, Good Game offers the most generous operating hours of any hobby shop in the Waterloo area. For northeast Iowa gamers and collectors, this shop is nothing short of a community institution.
