Common Room Games has served Bloomington's tabletop community from Williamsburg Village on the near east side for well over a decade, and it runs deeper than a typical retail floor. Alongside sealed product for Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Flesh & Blood, and Lorcana, the store buys and sells Magic singles — making it the east-side counterweight to Bloomington's west-side card stops.
What separates Common Room from most any card shop in Bloomington is infrastructure for actually playing. There's an in-store games library with hundreds of titles, a private room that groups can reserve for campaigns and game nights, and a packed event calendar spanning Magic events, Pathfinder and Starfinder Society, and D&D Adventurers League. Hours run noon to 10PM Monday through Friday, noon to 6PM Saturday, and noon to 8PM Sunday — late weeknight hours that most retail card stores don't touch, which matters when a Commander pod wants to fire at 8PM on a Tuesday.
