Clever Bay Sports & Gaming

Tutor Lane shop pairing a deep sports-card case with Magic and Pokemon tables — trade nights and tournaments run most weeks in Evansville.

Clever Bay splits the difference between a sports-card shop and a TCG play space, and it does both well enough that regulars use it as their only stop. The Tutor Lane location has a gaming room behind the retail floor where matches and trade nights run through the week, so the store stays busy at hours when a pure retail counter would be dead.

On the sports side, expect cases of graded and raw singles across baseball, football and basketball, sealed hobby and blaster boxes, and sports memorabilia. On the TCG side, Magic and Pokemon lead, with sealed and singles both stocked. Staff get called out by name in reviews for knowing both halves of the inventory — a rarer combination than it sounds, since most shops are strong on one side and thin on the other.

The schedule is built around evening play. Wednesday through Saturday the store runs 10AM to 8PM, giving the longest windows of the week; Tuesday goes noon to 8PM, and Monday and Sunday close earlier at 6PM. If you want to shop quietly, mid-morning Wednesday through Saturday is the calm stretch before the tables fill.

At 4.9 across 103 Google reviews, Clever Bay has the kind of rating that usually only holds at low volume — here it's held while the store built out a genuine event calendar. Follow their Instagram or Facebook for tournament and trade-night announcements, since the schedule shifts around set releases.

900 Tutor Lane sits just off the Green River corridor with dedicated parking, minutes from Eastland Mall.
