The Gaming Guild

Green River Road tabletop hall open 11AM-9PM daily, running Magic, Pokemon, Flesh and Blood and Union Arena events for the Evansville scene.

Ten hours a day, seven days a week — The Gaming Guild keeps the same 11AM to 9PM schedule every single day, which no other card shop in Evansville does. For anyone whose free time is unpredictable, that alone makes it the default.

The store is built for play. Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon, Flesh and Blood and Union Arena all get shelf space and table time, alongside Warhammer 40K, Age of Sigmar, D&D and a broad board game wall. Minis, dice, paints and sleeves fill the accessory racks. Pre-releases run for the major sets, and the community has been stable enough that reviewers describe coming twice a week for years.

What regulars emphasize is the tone of the room. The Guild has a reputation for a diverse, welcoming crowd — newcomers get taught rather than tolerated, which is not a given in competitive TCG spaces. That reputation is reflected in 453 Google reviews at a 4.7 average, one of the largest review counts of any hobby store in southern Indiana.

Singles and sealed are both available, though this is a play-first store: if you want deep sports-card cases, pair a visit here with one of the sports-focused shops on Green River. For Magic and Pokemon, the stock and the event calendar are the reason to come.

1460 N Green River Rd sits in the busiest retail corridor in the city with plenty of parking, easy from the Lloyd Expressway.
