Laid-back Livonia card shop on Schoolcraft with Pokemon, MTG, Yu-Gi-Oh and Lorcana stock, roomy play tables, late hours and two resident shop cats.
All That Games feels less like a retail floor and more like a friend's game room that happens to sell cards. The shop on Schoolcraft Road in Livonia keeps a relaxed, homey atmosphere, complete with two resident cats who wander between the play tables, and it has a dedicated base of regulars who treat it as their weeknight hangout.
The product mix covers the major trading card games: Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Disney Lorcana and Gundam, with sealed boxes, loose packs and singles. New sets land on release day, and the store is known locally for competitive trade-in and buy values, which makes it a good stop when you are moving cards out of a binder as well as into one. Singles inventory is listed through the shop's TCGplayer-powered site, so you can check what is in stock before heading over. D&D supplies round out the shelves.
Play space is generous for a shop of this size, and the store hosts prerelease events and regular game nights. Prereleases draw a crowd, so arriving early helps if you want a seat at the main tables. If you are looking for a Livonia card shop where you can open packs and immediately sit down for a game, this is one of the easier places to do it.
The schedule skews late, which suits after-work and after-school players. Hours run 3PM to 10PM Monday through Thursday, 3PM to 11PM Friday, noon to 11PM Saturday and noon to 10PM Sunday. Don't plan a morning visit; the doors stay closed until mid-afternoon on weekdays. Parking is available in the lot along Schoolcraft, just off I-96.
