Newer than most of its neighbors and already sitting on a perfect Google score across its first fifteen reviews, Cosmic Hearth Games has carved out a spot in the Suite 60 storefront on George W Liles Parkway. The name is not decorative. The shop is built around the idea that a game store should be somewhere you linger, and the hours reflect it.
Those hours are the first thing regulars mention. Cosmic Hearth posts early weekday opens, as early as 5:30AM Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, then runs late into the evening, with an 11PM Thursday and Friday close. Wednesday starts at 3PM instead. Weekends are simpler: noon to 10PM Saturday, noon to 7PM Sunday. It is an unusual schedule for a Concord card shop and it means you can get in before work or well after dinner, which almost nothing else in Cabarrus County offers.
On the product side, the shop is a certified store in the Wizards Play Network and also appears in the Lorcana and Riftbound organized play locators, so sanctioned events run across multiple systems rather than just one. Pokemon and Magic singles and sealed product form the retail core, with the usual supporting cast of sleeves, deck boxes and playmats.
Because it is open every day of the week, Cosmic Hearth ends up functioning as a fallback for the local scene when other shops are dark, and the play space fills accordingly on Friday and Saturday nights. If you want table time, come early in the evening block. If you want to work through singles without a crowd, a weekday morning is remarkably quiet.
The Suite 60 designation matters when you arrive, since the address covers a multi-tenant building. Parking is in the shared lot, and the location sits close enough to the I-85 corridor that it is an easy detour from the interstate rather than a trip into downtown Concord.
