Locally owned Oleander Drive sports card shop built on buying, selling and trading — sorted singles, sealed wax and slabs, closed Sundays.
Suite G at 4113 Oleander Drive puts Port City Sports Collectibles a few doors from Cape Fear Games, which makes this stretch of Oleander the densest concentration of card retail in the city. Port City is the sports-focused half of that pairing: locally owned, single location, no franchise backing, and run by people who collect the same things they sell.
Buy, sell, and trade is the stated business, and the shop leans into it. Collections come across the counter regularly, which means the singles inventory turns over faster than at shops relying purely on wholesale ordering — worth checking back if a specific card didn't turn up last visit. Sealed wax covers the modern sports releases, and the cases hold graded slabs and premium rookies. Raw singles are sorted well enough that digging is productive rather than punishing.
What comes up consistently in feedback is the counter experience: staff who are knowledgeable, unhurried, and interested in what you collect rather than what you'll spend. The shop stays clean and well organized, which is not universal in this corner of retail and makes browsing a genuinely pleasant use of an hour.
Hours are 10am to 6pm Monday through Friday and 10am to 5pm Saturday, closed Sunday. There's no late night here, so plan around the 6pm cutoff on weekdays.
Parking is in the plaza lot out front. If you're looking at sports cards Wilmington-wide and only have one afternoon, doing Port City and Cape Fear Games back to back on Oleander covers a lot of ground with one parking spot.
