Duke City Games – Santa Fe

Duke City Games' Zafarano flagship gives Santa Fe a tournament-scale TCG floor: Pokemon League, nightly Magic Commander, One Piece, and fast-moving sports cards.

Duke City Games opened its fifth store, the Zafarano Drive flagship, in November 2025 because the DeVargas Center location had outgrown its walls. The new space on Santa Fe's south side was laid out from scratch for organized play, with room for Regional Championship Qualifiers and large prerelease weekends that never fit in the mall storefront. Product sits in locked glass cases arranged around the perimeter, so you can walk the room and inspect sealed boxes and singles up close instead of asking to see everything from behind a counter.

Pokemon is the engine here. Owner Rob Gonzales built the chain around a player base of roughly 200 across its stores, and the Santa Fe location runs a Pokemon League alongside a One Piece Super League every Tuesday. Magic: The Gathering is the second pillar, with Commander pods firing nightly, Standard RCQs on the calendar, and singles available online for in-store pickup. Yu-Gi-Oh, Lorcana, Flesh and Blood, Gundam, Cardfight Vanguard, Riftbound, and Beyblade round out the shelves. Sports cards move fast too: the chain has a sizable collector following, and hobby boxes tend to sell through soon after they land.

Two practical notes. The store is card-only, so bring plastic rather than cash. And hours are afternoon-to-evening, 2PM to 9PM seven days a week, which suits the after-work and after-school crowd but means a morning trip will find the doors closed. If you want to sell, the buylist pays cash or a higher store-credit figure, and you can request a quote online before driving over.
