Sealed products for Fusion Strike
Booster Box
Thirty-six ten-card packs, MSRP $143.64 at release. The box sat at retail for most of 2022 and was still available near $150 into 2023, which is why so many collectors regret not stacking it. In August 2026 sealed boxes trade at $880-$1,050 with a steady flow of sales around $920-$960. This is the deepest and most liquid Fusion Strike product and the one investors hold.
Elite Trainer Box
The Mew ETB has eight packs, a holo Mew promo, 65 Mew sleeves, dice, energy and a storage box. MSRP was $49.99. Sealed retail ETBs run $310-$380 as of August 2026. It is a thin product for the price, with under a quarter of a box's packs, but the Mew art keeps demand high among collectors who never open it.
Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box
The Pokemon Center version includes the same eight packs and promo plus exclusive foil energy cards and a Pokemon Center logo on the box. It trades at $380-$480 sealed and is much scarcer on eBay than the retail box.
Build & Battle Box
Four packs, a 23-card evolution pack with one of four promos, a code card and a play guide, originally $19.99. Sealed Build & Battle boxes are $90-$115 in mid-2026. These are the cheapest way to get Fusion Strike packs in a sealed retail box, and the promos (Hoopa, Genesect, Boltund, Chandelure) are inexpensive.
Blisters and the Mew Collection
Three-pack blisters with a Latias, Latios or Espeon promo sell for $85-$110, and single-pack checklane blisters for $22-$30. The Fusion Strike Collection box (Mew promo, four Fusion Strike packs and a pin) ran $19.99 at release and now sits at $100-$140 sealed. Loose packs from any of these products trade at $18-$22 apiece.
Chase cards and pull rates
Mew VMAX alt art 269/264 is the card that made this set. It has traded between $350 and $550 raw through 2026 and is comfortably the most valuable non-gold card in Sword & Shield alongside the Umbreon VMAX from Evolving Skies and Charizard alt from Brilliant Stars. Gengar VMAX alt art 271/264 sits at $250-$400, and Espeon VMAX alt art 270/264 at $130-$200. Beneath the VMAX trio, the Mew V alt art 251/264 and Genesect V alt art 255/264 sell for $60-$120, and the gold Mew VMAX 268/264 lands around $70-$110.
Sword & Shield era alt art rates were not published, but commonly reported figures put any alternate art at roughly one per 1.5 to 2 boxes, and a specific VMAX alt art at roughly one per case or worse. Fusion Strike boxes reliably produce three to five V or VMAX hits, one or two full arts and one rainbow or gold secret, so the floor is reasonable even if the ceiling is unlikely.
Is Fusion Strike worth buying sealed?
At roughly $26 per pack, Fusion Strike no longer makes sense to open for value. The case for holding sealed rests on the Mew and Gengar alt arts staying in demand and on the fact that the set has been out of print since 2023. Prices roughly tripled between early 2024 and mid-2025 and have been flat to slightly up since, which suggests the easy gains are behind it. Reprint risk is low; The Pokemon Company has not reprinted a Sword & Shield main set after rotation. If you buy, buy the booster box rather than ETBs, because the box has the best pack count per dollar and the widest buyer pool.
How to spot fakes and resealed products
Fusion Strike boxes were on shelves long enough that most tampering is resealing rather than counterfeiting. A genuine box has clear shrink with a single horizontal seam across the back and small vent holes; the shrink should be snug at the corners, not baggy. Inside, packs are arranged in four rows of nine with the art alternating, and the box flaps are glued, not taped. Because the set was weighed heavily by scalpers in 2022, be cautious of loose packs and blisters with visible glue residue or a crimp that does not line up. ETBs should have the outer shrink intact with the promo card visible through the window; a missing code card inside an opened pack is a tell that it was already used.
