Rebel Clash is the second Sword & Shield expansion, released on May 1, 2020, in the middle of the first pandemic lockdown when many card shops were closed and distribution was disrupted. That timing is why a Rebel Clash booster box is now one of the more expensive main-set boxes of the era despite a checklist with no Charizard and no alternate arts. This page covers each sealed product, current August 2026 prices, the handful of cards worth chasing, and how to buy a box that is actually sealed.

Rebel Clash boxes contain 36 ten-card packs across four pack arts (Toxtricity, Dragapult, Cinderace and Inteleon). MSRP was $143.64. Sealed boxes sold in August 2026 range from $380 to $500, with most landing between $400 and $480. That is a higher price than Darkness Ablaze or Vivid Voltage, and the reason is simple supply: fewer boxes reached shelves in spring 2020, and fewer were put away sealed because there was no headline card to save them for.
The single ETB features Toxtricity and includes eight packs, sleeves, dice, markers, energy and a guide, at an original $39.99 MSRP. It is the surprise of the set. Sealed Rebel Clash ETBs sell for $230–$300, which is nearly double what Darkness Ablaze or Vivid Voltage ETBs bring, again because comparatively few survived. If you find one at a shop priced like a normal SWSH ETB, buy it.
Four Rebel Clash packs plus an evolution pack with one of four promos (Boltund V, Cinderace V, Inteleon V or Rillaboom V), sold at $19.99. Most prereleases for this set were cancelled or moved online, so a good number of these were sold sealed through retail instead. Sealed Build & Battle boxes trade at $55–$75.
Three-pack blisters with a promo (Galarian Perrserker or Galarian Obstagoon, among others) sell for $40–$55 sealed, and single-pack blisters for $12–$16. The Rebel Clash-era collection boxes, which paired Rebel Clash packs with V promos such as Toxtricity V and Rillaboom V, run $50–$75 depending on the box and how many packs it includes.
Boss's Orders is the card that carries this set. The full art (189/192) sells for $45–$60 raw and $100–$120 in PSA 10, and the rainbow rare version (200/192) sits at $35–$45. Those prices are high for a Trainer because Boss's Orders was a four-of in almost every competitive deck for years and the Rebel Clash full art remains the preferred version. Toxtricity VMAX rainbow (196/192) is the top Pokemon secret at $15–$25, with Dragapult VMAX rainbow and Copperajah VMAX rainbow in the $10–$20 range. Sonia full art and Boss's Orders are the trainers most players want, and the regular holo VMAX cards (Toxtricity 071/192, Dragapult 093/192) are cheap.
Pull structure matches other early SWSH sets: roughly one V or VMAX every three to four packs, with full-art Trainers and rainbow rares showing up two to four times per box. A single box will usually land at least one Boss's Orders full art or rainbow, but not reliably.
This is a supply story, not a card story. The cards in a box are worth perhaps $150–$200 opened, so a $450 sealed price is entirely about scarcity. Rebel Clash boxes have risen steadily since 2023 because there are fewer of them than any other SWSH main set, and that will not change. The risk is that it lacks a chase card people emotionally attach to, so demand is driven by set collectors and sealed investors rather than the broader hobby. It is a reasonable hold at current prices but not a set to buy at a premium expecting quick appreciation.
Rebel Clash boxes were on shelves at $100 or less through 2021, so professional resealing is rare, but weighed and reshrunk boxes turn up. A factory box has a single seam on the bottom and thin, tight wrap with a light matte texture; glossy, thick or baggy wrap means it has been rewrapped. Because some 2020 boxes were shipped in damaged cases during lockdown, dented corners alone are not a red flag, but a dented box with pristine wrap is. Check that every pack has a code card and that the pack crimp ridges are even and unbroken. Also compare the pack art distribution: a box with all one pack art was almost certainly hand assembled.
Rebel Clash is a product that local shops sometimes still have from their 2020 allocation, and shop pricing often lags eBay by a wide margin. Search the card shop directory for stores in your area and call ahead. Card shows are worth a look for ETBs and collection boxes. For online buying, use:
Sealed Rebel Clash booster boxes sell for $380–$500 as of August 2026. The price is higher than surrounding sets because fewer boxes were produced and saved during the 2020 lockdown.
The Rebel Clash Elite Trainer Box trades at $230–$300 because very few were held sealed. Most were opened by players in 2020 when the set had little collector appeal.
Boss's Orders full art (189/192) is the most valuable card, selling for $45–$60 raw and around $100–$120 in PSA 10. It remains one of the most popular Trainer cards from the Sword & Shield era.
No. Rebel Clash has no Charizard card. Its Pokemon chase cards are Toxtricity VMAX and Dragapult VMAX rainbow rares, and the set is driven mainly by its Trainer cards.
Four: Toxtricity, Dragapult, Cinderace and Inteleon. All four appear in a sealed booster box.
There is no indication of a reprint. Sword & Shield main sets have not been reprinted since the era ended, and Rebel Clash has been out of print since 2020.
