Silver Tempest Sealed Products: Booster Box Prices, Chase Cards & Where to Buy

Nov 2022SWSH12from $1,799.994 sealed products

Silver Tempest is the twelfth and final numbered Sword & Shield expansion, released in November 2022 with Lugia VSTAR, the Lugia V alternate art and the last Trainer Gallery subset. It was printed heavily at the end of the era and sat at retail deep into 2023, which is why it remains cheaper than Lost Origin despite having a comparable chase card. This page covers every sealed Silver Tempest product, current August 2026 prices, and the tells for resealed packs and bundles.

Sealed products for Silver Tempest

Booster Box

Thirty-six ten-card packs at a $143.64 MSRP. Boxes were available near retail through most of 2023 and at $200 into 2024. In August 2026 sealed boxes trade at $420-$540, with TCGplayer sales near $500 and eBay a bit lower around $440-$480. On a per-pack basis it is the cheapest way to hold a Sword & Shield set with a $200-plus alt art.

Elite Trainer Box

The Alolan Vulpix ETB has eight packs, an Alolan Vulpix promo, sleeves, dice, energy cards and a storage box at $49.99 MSRP. Sealed retail ETBs run $140-$175 as of August 2026. The Vulpix art has a loyal following and this ETB has appreciated more relative to its box than most in the era.

Pokemon Center Elite Trainer Box

Same eight packs and promo with foil energy and the PC logo. Sealed examples trade at $190-$240 and show up less frequently than the retail version.

Booster Bundle

The six-pack booster bundle ($26.94) was the second one ever produced and was printed in larger numbers than the Lost Origin bundle. Sealed bundles trade at $100-$130 in mid-2026, or roughly $17-$21 per pack, which is only slightly above box pricing. This is the most sensible small sealed buy for the set.

Build & Battle Box and Build & Battle Stadium

The Build & Battle Box (four packs, evolution pack, one of four promos, $19.99) sells for $50-$65. The Build & Battle Stadium (two kits, extra packs and accessories, $49.99) runs $120-$160. Both are common at shows and shops.

Blisters

Three-pack blisters with Manaphy, Togetic or Lugia-themed promos sell for $45-$60, single-pack blisters for $15-$20 and loose packs for $13-$16.

Chase cards and pull rates

Lugia V alternate art 186/195 is the top card at $200-$320 raw, with PSA 10 copies well above that. Unown V alt art 177/195 is a fan favorite at $70-$110, and the Regieleki VMAX alt art sits around $40-$60. Lugia VSTAR rainbow 211/195 and the gold Lugia VSTAR are $30-$60 cards, and the Serena full art trainer 193/195 trades at $40-$70 because of its character following. The Trainer Gallery includes Rayquaza VMAX TG20 at $40-$70 and the Lugia and Alolan Vulpix character cards at $10-$30. Radiant Alakazam and Radiant Jirachi are inexpensive but complete the Radiant series for the era.

Community-reported rates put alt arts at roughly one per two boxes and the Lugia V alt at roughly one per case. A box usually returns three to five V or VSTAR cards, one or two full arts, one secret rare and one Trainer Gallery card.

Is Silver Tempest worth buying sealed?

Silver Tempest is arguably the best value hold in late Sword & Shield. At roughly $12-$15 per pack the box is closer to the value of its contents than Lost Origin or Fusion Strike, and it carries a $200-plus alt art in Lugia V plus the last Trainer Gallery. The large print run means supply is still around, which caps the pace of appreciation, but the set has been out of print since 2023 and has moved steadily upward since 2024. Reprint risk is nil. If you want Sword & Shield exposure at the lowest per-pack cost, the Silver Tempest box and booster bundle are the two products to look at.

How to spot fakes and resealed products

Silver Tempest boxes use the heavier clear shrink with a horizontal back seam and vent holes and should be tight at the corners. Genuine packs have straight ridged crimps and the pack art wraps cleanly around the edge; a crimp that looks flattened or a pack with a soft, rounded corner is a warning sign. The booster bundle has glued flaps and, on most print runs, no outer shrink, so inspect the flap glue for residue and make sure the top flap has not been lifted. ETBs should show the Vulpix promo through the window and the sleeves shrink-wrapped inside. This set was on shelves long enough that weighing was widespread, so loose packs and single-pack blisters carry the most risk.

Where to buy Silver Tempest sealed

Silver Tempest is one of the easiest Sword & Shield sets to find in local shops, and shop prices are often below eBay. Use the card shop directory to find stores near you. Card shows usually have boxes, bundles and ETBs on the table. On eBay, search:
