A gaming tavern on the upper level of Provo Towne Centre running singles for six TCGs, sold-out prereleases and walk-in D&D every night after four.
Upstairs at Provo Towne Centre, near the JCPenney end, is a store most mall-walkers pass a hundred times before finally going in — and reviewers describe that exact conversion moment often enough that it has become the shop's signature review. We Geek Together is styled as a gaming tavern rather than a retail box, which is a fair description of how it operates.
The card side is broader than the square footage suggests. Packs and singles run across Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Disney Lorcana, Star Wars: Unlimited, Flesh and Blood and Riftbound, with Pokemon product on hand as well. What sets the store apart in Provo is that it manufactures its own accessory line — custom deck boxes and life counters made in-house, plus playmats and sleeves cut for any system. If you play something obscure, this is the Provo card shop most likely to have a mat for it.
Events are the engine. Prereleases sell out here, D&D one-shots and campaigns run with paid Dungeon Masters on the schedule, and there is a standing open invitation to walk in and play D&D any night after 4PM. One corner of the store is given over to a vendor wall where local makers sell their own goods, which is a deliberate choice the owners talk about and customers notice.
Hours are 11AM to 10PM Monday through Thursday and 11AM to 11PM Friday and Saturday, closed Sunday — the latest weekend close of any Provo card shop. Note that the mall's own directory page lists shorter hours and an out-of-date phone number; the store's numbers above are the current ones. Mall parking is free and abundant, which is a genuine advantage over the University Avenue shops. A sibling location operates at The Shops at South Town in Sandy, and events sometimes run at both.
