Relocated to a larger Wall Avenue building, this Ogden card shop runs MTG, Pokemon, One Piece and Riftbound prereleases nearly every weekend.
Game Grid moved its North Ogden operation into a purpose-bought, larger building at 817 Wall Avenue, and the extra floor space went straight into events. Prerelease weekends now run multiple flights — a Friday evening seating, a Saturday noon slot, a Saturday two-headed giant, and a Sunday afternoon — for major Magic sets, which is a schedule most shops this size can't physically support.
The event calendar reaches well past Magic. Pokemon prereleases and League Cups, One Piece beginner deck parties and set prereleases, Riftbound Summoner's Skirmishes, Union Arena every Wednesday at 5:30PM, Star Wars Unlimited showdowns, and Gundam sealed builds all appear on the board across a typical quarter. Entry fees generally land between $10 and $40 depending on format, with promos and packs in the prize pool.
Retail covers collectible card games, board games, miniatures, video games and RPGs, plus the full Monument Hobbies paint and brush line for anyone painting minis. Pricing sits at or near MSRP, and the shop is explicit about not marking up — a policy customers contrast with online retailers plus shipping.
Hours are noon to 8PM Monday through Thursday, noon to 10PM Friday, 11AM to 8PM Saturday, closed Sunday. Friday night is the busiest and most social slot; Saturday morning is the best time to shop.
