Sandy's State Street sports-card hub: sealed wax, NHL and MLB singles, PSA grading drop-off, Goldin consignment and athlete signing events.
Sports collectors in the south valley tend to end up at Overtime Cards sooner or later. The State Street storefront bills itself as Utah's premier card shop, and the mix inside backs up the claim: sealed wax for the current football, baseball, basketball and hockey releases, cases of singles, and a release calendar posted online so you know which product is landing that week.
What separates Overtime from a typical hobby shop is the service menu. The store handles PSA grading submissions, so you can drop off cards rather than shipping them yourself, and it works with Goldin for customers who want to consign higher-end cards to auction. If you are on the other side of the counter, the shop also buys collections; the website has a dedicated page for selling your cards.
Events are a big part of the identity. Overtime runs trade nights, kids' camps and in-store athlete signings, including appearances by players from the Utah Mammoth NHL club — a natural stop for anyone building a hockey PC around Utah's NHL team. Lately the shop has also hosted Riftbound launch events, a sign that the TCG side is growing alongside the sports focus.
Hours are 11AM to 7PM on weekdays, 10AM to 5PM on Saturday and 11AM to 4PM on Sunday. Saturday mornings are the time to come if you want first look at new releases; check the events calendar before a signing day, since those can draw a line.
For trading cards in Sandy, especially sports cards and slabs, this is the shop most locals point to first. Overtime also runs a second store in Spanish Fork, but the Sandy shop at 10673 South State is the one for south Salt Lake County collectors.
