Bellingham's biggest gaming store, 30-plus years on Meridian Street: a WPN Premium Magic shop with Play! Pokemon league, Lorcana, and retro games.

Thirty-plus years is a long run for any card shop, and Cosmic Games has spent most of them as the default answer when someone in Whatcom County asks where to buy Magic. The store at 3930 Meridian Street, Suite 101, near Bellis Fair, calls itself Bellingham's biggest gaming store, and the claim holds up on the floor: a Magic: The Gathering singles and sealed section that reviewers describe as extensive, walls of Pokemon product including some Japanese and Chinese packs, and separate zones for Lorcana, Star Wars Unlimited, One Piece, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Riftbound.

Cosmic is one of the few WPN Premium stores in the region, which puts it in line for the largest Magic events, prerelease allocations, and Friday Night Magic every week. It is also on the Play! Pokemon locator as a league host, and Lorcana and Star Wars Unlimited organized play run on the embedded event calendar at cosmicgames.com. Owner Adam Scholtz has talked publicly about keeping Magic singles at market price, and reviewers confirm both Pokemon and Magic singles are priced to market, though some sealed items skew a bit higher than online.

The rest of the store is where it earns the biggest-gaming-store label. Retro and current video games cover Nintendo, Sega, PlayStation, and Xbox, and a tech repair counter handles video game consoles, PCs, and tablets. RPG books run from D&D and Paizo to Shadowdark, with Warhammer kits, miniatures, paints, dice, disc golf gear, and a snack shelf that more than one review calls out. Cosmic buys and trades Magic and Pokemon cards, retro games, and RPG books through an online buylist, and the Shopify store ships across the US and Canada with a deck-list builder.

Hours are 10 AM to 10 PM Monday through Saturday and 10 AM to 6 PM Sunday, the longest weekday schedule of any trading cards store in Bellingham. Friday evenings are FNM crowds; weekday mornings are the time to browse singles unhurried or get a repair quote. The strip has its own lot, and the store is a couple of minutes from I-5 at the Meridian exit.
