My Animix

Anime hangout meets card shop in Kenosha — Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Digimon singles plus manga, figures, and official weekend tournaments.

My Animix approaches the card hobby through an anime lens, and the result is unlike any other card shop in Kenosha. Alongside Pokemon cards, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: The Gathering, and Digimon, the 75th Street store stacks its shelves with manga, anime figures, and plushies — so the collector who came for singles leaves with a Demon Slayer figure, and vice versa. The store styles itself the "ultimate anime hangout," and the vibe matches.

Tournament play is a core part of the operation. My Animix runs officially sanctioned events across its TCG lines, giving Kenosha's Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokemon players a sanctioned local option without driving to Milwaukee or Chicago. Check the store's calendar before planning around an event, since formats rotate through the week.

The schedule is the main thing to know before visiting: doors are closed Monday and Tuesday, open 4PM to 8PM Wednesday, noon to 8PM Thursday and Friday, 11AM to 8PM Saturday, and 11AM to 6PM Sunday. Weekends are the store at full energy — tournament tables running, regulars trading binders, and the full retail floor open to browse.

A 90% recommendation rate across dozens of Facebook reviews reflects how the community feels about the place: it functions as much as a hangout as a store, and staff learn regulars' names and collections. For families, it's also a gentle entry point — a kid can start with a Pokemon booster and graduate to organized play in the same building. If your collecting leans Japanese — imported sets, anime tie-ins, Digimon — this is the Kenosha stop that speaks the language.
