Friday, September 25, 2026 brings the LA Card Dude Show back to the Nakano Theatre hall at the Torrance Civic Center for a 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM evening session. A last-Friday-of-the-month date has a particular rhythm: dealers have worked through September inventory and are turning over stock before the October run of shows, which means both fresh material arriving and older stock getting priced to move.
The floor covers the full hobby. Sports tables run MLB, NBA, NFL and NHL across vintage and modern, with rookie and prospect inventory, autograph and relic patch cards, and boxing and UFC material that is a fixture of Southern California rooms. Graded slabs run deep across PSA, CGC, SGC and Beckett. On the gaming side Pokemon leads with sealed English and Japanese product, singles binders and vintage holos, backed by Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Lorcana and Dragon Ball Super. Supply vendors and raw vintage bins fill out the room.
Hours are one 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM block with no early-bird window and no VIP tier. The promoter does not publish a public door price, so check the LA Card Dude channels for admission before heading over.
The Nakano hall is at 3330 Civic Center Drive, Torrance 90503, inside the Torrance Cultural Arts Center. It is a real indoor hall — good lighting, climate control, carpeted floor, accessible entrances, restrooms in the complex. Civic center parking is free and easy on a Friday night. Long Beach is roughly twenty minutes away on the 405, and Old Torrance restaurants are within walking distance of the lot.
End of month is a useful window if you are thinking about grading. Several vendors at this show take submissions or can advise on which service and tier makes sense for a given card, and a Friday evening gives you the time to actually have that conversation. If you have raw cards you are considering submitting, bring them sleeved and be ready to hear an honest opinion — a card that looks clean in a binder can have a print line or a soft corner that costs a full grade.
The audience is adult-leaning: weekend workers, local dealers, trade-focused collectors. Families with young kids will have a better time at the Sunday daytime dates in this series.
Tactics: come early for first look at freshly restocked tables, or come after nine when month-end sellers get motivated. Bring cash in mixed bills. Bring a want list with your ceiling written down. Bring your trade binder organized by sport or set so a dealer can scan it quickly. Do not buy a raw card you have not looked at under direct light — check centering front and back, corners, and surface at an angle. Pack penny sleeves and toploaders so nothing goes home unprotected.
