House Rules Gaming

Kissimmee's evening TCG hangout with below-MSRP Pokemon packs, a sanctioned Pokemon League, Lorcana Play Network events, and something running every night of the week.

House Rules Gaming does not open until 4PM on weekdays, and that tells you what kind of Kissimmee card shop it is. Owner Chris started the business in a pair of small office suites on Broadway in downtown Kissimmee around 2015 and has since moved it to a proper storefront on East Vine Street, but the model never changed: stock cards at fair prices and make sure there is a game to play when the doors open.

The price point comes up in nearly every review. Pokemon booster packs routinely sell for four to six dollars, below what the big-box stores across US-192 charge, and customers building a collection say Chris has helped them stretch a budget for years. Beyond Pokemon, the shelves hold Disney Lorcana, One Piece, Star Wars Unlimited, Magic: The Gathering, Digimon, Union Arena, Dragon Ball Super, Flesh and Blood, Riftbound, and Yu-Gi-Oh, plus HeroClix for the miniatures crowd. A wall of gacha and blind bags near the register keeps younger visitors occupied.

Organized play is the heartbeat. House Rules is a sanctioned Pokemon League venue and an official Disney Lorcana Play Network store, with Core Constructed weekly play on Wednesday nights at 7PM. Prerelease weekends draw enough players that the shop has added extra fans to keep the room cool, and regulars describe games going on every single night. Star Wars Unlimited tournaments and HeroClix events fill out the calendar, and a Discord server handles restock alerts.

Hours run 4PM to 10:30PM Monday through Friday, noon to 10:30PM Saturday, and noon to 9PM Sunday. The footprint is small and gets crowded during release events, so if you want to dig through singles in peace, a weekday right at 4PM is the window. For Pokemon cards in Kissimmee at the best price around, with a community attached, this is the shop locals name first.
