The Platypus Party Card Shop brings a fresh, energetic spirit to the Western Maryland card shop scene, serving Hagerstown and the broader Washington County collecting community from its location at 18731 North Pointe Dr. With a name as memorable as its selection, the Platypus Party has quickly established itself as the premier destination for Pokémon players and general card collectors in the I-70 corridor between Frederick and the Pennsylvania border.

Pokémon is king at The Platypus Party. The shop maintains an impressive singles inventory covering everything from bulk commons to high-value holos and rare alternate art cards. Whether you're building a competitive Standard deck, hunting vintage WOTC-era cards, or filling out a Scarlet & Violet set, the selection here is designed to satisfy serious Pokémon collectors. Sealed product is regularly restocked including booster boxes, elite trainer boxes, and special collection sets.

The shop also carries a solid range of other trading card games and collectibles — Yu-Gi-Oh, sports cards, and graded slabs are all available depending on current inventory. The Platypus Party operates an active buying program, offering 70% cash value and 80% in trade credit for eligible singles, sealed product, and slabs. This competitive buylist keeps the shop's inventory fresh and gives collectors a reliable outlet for upgrading their collections.

The Platypus Party has built a loyal social media following, frequently engaging with collectors through Facebook groups and Instagram posts showing off new arrivals, buy prices, and special deals. The shop fosters a genuine community atmosphere — this is the kind of place where regulars know each other and newcomers are welcomed into the fold immediately.
