A newer Gastonia TCG hangout on Union Road with One Piece, Gundam and Pokemon singles, late Friday and Saturday hours, and a buylist that pays extra in credit.
TCGMADDNESSS is one of the newest names on the Gastonia gaming map, a compact storefront in a Union Road strip center that runs its online side under the Meta Madness Gaming banner. It opened with a cookout-style grand opening weekend and has leaned into that community-first tone ever since: the room is small, the play tables get used, and players regularly describe being greeted at the door rather than ignored at the counter.
What sets the shop apart is breadth across the newer card games. Alongside Pokemon and Magic: The Gathering, the inventory reaches into One Piece, the Gundam Card Game, Digimon, Disney Lorcana, Star Wars: Unlimited, Union Arena, Riftbound and Yu-Gi-Oh!, with both sealed product and singles for most of them. Japanese Pokemon singles have their own section online, a useful sign for anyone chasing Japanese-exclusive art. Collectors who like to dig are welcome to flip through the singles boxes in person instead of only ordering from a list.
Organized play is the other big draw. One Piece and Gundam tournaments have pulled solid crowds, and prerelease weekends for new sets have included prize support such as deck boxes for top finishers. If you are looking for a Gastonia card shop where a newer game actually has a local scene, this is a good place to ask what is on the calendar that week.
Selling is straightforward too. The shop buys individual singles and full collections, and it adds roughly ten percent more when you take store credit instead of cash, so trading up toward a chase card can stretch further here than a straight sale.
Plan around the schedule: Monday is an evening-only day (5PM-9PM), Tuesday through Thursday run noon to 9PM, Friday and Saturday stay open until 11PM for event nights, and Sunday is a shorter 1PM-7PM window. The store sits at 1008 Union Rd, Suite B-2, with strip-center parking right out front.
