Veteran-owned Medford comic shop in a 1906 downtown building with a Magic: The Gathering section, Flesh and Blood and Yu-Gi-Oh, open Wednesday through Saturday.

Rogue City Comics keeps a four-day week, and the regulars have learned to plan around it. The shop occupies a 1906 building at 32 N Central Avenue in downtown Medford, opened in 2018 by a veteran and his wife who raised quadruplets in town, and it is run with the kind of care that shows up in a 4.9 Google average across nearly 200 reviews. Comics are the core, but there is a real card section, and it has become a reliable stop for Magic players downtown.

The trading card corner centers on Magic: The Gathering. Booster packs, including a rotating stash of older sets the staff pull out for regulars, sit with Dragon Shield sleeves, dividers and storage boxes. Flesh and Blood, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Dragon Ball Super round out the TCG lineup, and while there is no organized play, the shop is next door to The RetroWormhole, making this block the closest thing Medford has to a hobby district. Pokemon is not a focus here, so collectors chasing that should head to the neighbors.

On the comic side, the weekly pull list, back-issue bins and graphic novel shelves are meticulously organized, and the store takes trade-ins and buys collections. Community programs are part of the identity: the Comics vs. Cancer initiative delivers books to pediatric patients at Asante Rogue Regional, Free Comic Book Day is a full event with kids picking their own stack, and in August 2026 the shop hosted a comics-only expo. Locally made gifts and adult coloring books fill the front tables.

Hours are 11AM to 6PM Wednesday through Friday and 10AM to 4PM Saturday, closed Sunday through Tuesday. There is no public restroom, curbside pickup is available on request, and eGift cards can be bought online. For a Magic booster or a sleeve restock while downtown, or a comic shop that treats a card game seriously, Rogue City is worth the detour into Medford's old core.
