TNLG - The Next Level Games

TNLG on Gallatin Pike in Madison mixes a card-lookup kiosk and packed TCG tournaments with a deep stock of Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Magic.

TNLG, short for The Next Level Games, is a large trading card and tabletop shop on Gallatin Pike North in Madison, a short drive from downtown Nashville. It is one of the busiest game stores in the area, with late hours and a floor that fills up on tournament nights.

Walk in and the first thing you notice is how neatly the product is displayed. Pokemon singles and packs are easy to find, and Yu-Gi-Oh! and Magic: The Gathering each get their own dedicated space. There is a kiosk where you can look up a specific card if it is not on the shelves, a handy touch for players who are building a deck from a list. Booster boxes, sealed product and graded cards round out the retail side.

Organized play is a major reason people come. The shop runs regular tournaments, and visitors have walked in on Yu-Gi-Oh! events with a full table of players. The staff are known for explaining the structure of a night to newcomers, which makes it easier to jump in even if you have never entered a tournament.

Buying is a frequent topic in feedback. Many sellers describe getting fair value on collections, while a few shoppers say sealed prices run a bit above online market, so it pays to compare. Honest, knowledgeable counter staff are a recurring compliment.

The shop is open Monday noon to 7PM, Tuesday through Thursday noon to 10PM, Friday noon to 11PM, Saturday and Sunday 11AM to 8PM, which gives night owls plenty of time. TNLG sits at 2066 Gallatin Pike N, Madison, TN 37115, and the phone number is (615) 420-6662. Check its event listings for the next local tournament before you visit.
